EAT - 60's Old Street @ Orchard Road Singapore

by - Tuesday, November 17, 2009

The row of stalls beside Le Meridien orchard was recently renovated, and it was reopened as 60's old street. This place is pretty crowded during lunch & dinner time according to my friends. Overall, I find the price a little expensive, though food was actually quite decent.

Located at the Orchard Road Singapore.

Opposite of the restaurant you can see a lot of sex toys. So, when I tell my friend where I went, the place also known as orchard sex toy shop area. keke...

The restaurant.

Fried Oyster & Carrot cake stall.

Roasted Duck stall.

One of the worker prepare the Kway Teow.

The Menu.

Fried Oyster (Oh Chien) @ SGD6.00 (small).
The medium portion is SGD8.00 & big is SGD10.00. the size of oyster damn huge and it is juicy. if want to compare with Penang version, I prefer this one but if want compare from the money side, I prefer Penang one.

Carrot Cake (black) @ SGD5.00.
The small portion is SGD5.00 & big is SGD7.00.

Noodle Roasted Duck @ SGD4.00.

Roasted Duck Rice @ SGD4.00.
The gravy was nice and not too sweet like other duck sauce. The portion not really huge but it's enough to satisfied my stomach. The meat was tender and the skin is so crispy.

Coconut Milk.

Coffee.

Watermelon Juice.

Sugar Cane.

Barlee Ice.

Overall I will vote:
8/10 for the service. Efficient and friendly.
6/10 for the food quality and quantity of the food excellent but if you ask about hygiene...errmmm...
7/10 for the environment. A little bit dirty.
