EAT - Ferrero Collection (Ferrero Rosher, Ferrero Rondnoir & Ferrero Garden Coconut)

Monday, November 30, 2009

Last weekend, I went back Singapore to attend my cousin wedding & I drop to one of the shop who sell Ferrero Rosher at Singapore. I bought it 2 since she like to eat Ferrero Rosher.
There's have 3 flavour and known as Ferrero Collection.

The 3 ferrero family are:
1: Ferrero Rocher.
2: Ferrero Garden Coconut.
3: Ferrero Rondnoir.

Ferrero Rocher
I think I no need to introduce this one right? For those who don't know, please go jump from 5th floor lolx. Ferrero Rocher is the famous chocolate in the ferrero family. It's always been related with the love advertisement. I tell you the truth, this ferrero rosher is not the best choice for you to tackle a girl. You can break up with the girl because of this chocolate =.="

This ferrero rosher contain crisp hazelnut and milk chocolate and covered by a smooth filling hazelnut.

Ferrero Garden Coconut
For me this one is better then Ferrero Rosher since they use a white chocolate and mix well with dry coconut. There seems to be a lighter coconut coating, and instead of being completely spherical, these have a little flat bottom. The top has a little dollop & drizzle of a white confection (they call it meringue, but really it’s more like a white chocolate).

Inside is a milky tasting cream and a little sliver of almond. It’s all very sweet but has a nice touch of coconut and the crisp of the wafer cookie sphere balances it all well.

Ferrero Rondnoir
Honestly, I'm not really like this one since it's a little bitter compare to other one. Ferrero Rondnoir made from a dark chocolates and it's unique combination of a dark chocolate cream surrounding a “black pearl” of fine dark chocolate, within a delicate, crisp wafer…topped with crunchy dark chocolate morsels.

Ferrero Rondnoir dark chocolates are the first dark chocolate product from The Ferrero Company.

EAT - Fong Sushi @ Jongker Street

Sunday, November 29, 2009

It is quite long time since my previous visit to Japanese restaurant. My previous visit is Yo Sushi @ Midvalley. My friend told me there have a sushi stall at Jongker Walk that not really bad. So, I decided to give it a try.

Fong Sushi @ Jongker Walk.

The chef in action. Simple kitchen & I really hope the taste not really bad.

Soft Shell Crab.

Some of the sushi. Looks very nice right? XD

This is what we da bao back.
Nihon Maki @ RM3.00
Oshiko Maki @ RM3.00
Tuna Temaki @ RM3.00
Unagi Temaki @ RM3.00

We decided to da bao and eat somewhere else. Trust me! It's a bad idea.
Next time I will straight away eat there ^^

Overall I will vote:
7/10 for the service. Efficient & Friendly.
8/10 for the food quality and quantity of the food excellent. Huge and price reasonable.
7/10 for the environment. Just ordinary hawker stall.

Location:
Jongker Walk.
Nearby with L.W. (the biggest pineapple tart in Malacca)

Operation Hour:
Following Jongker Walk tine.

P.S.: This is based on individual's taste and liking and if there's any other further questions about this restaurant or the food, feel free to drop a comment. Thanks!

EAT - Pineapple Tart @ Jongker Walk

Pineapple tart can be found all over Malacca town. When you come to Jongker Street, I like to recommend you guys to go the pineapple tart shop located at the corner and which is at night it's just located nearby with Fong Sushi stall. For those who never buy pineapple tart, there's have a lot of pineapple tart in Malacca and I suggest that you better to ask for the price from a few shops before you commit to buy.

The more gold color of the pineapple tart, the more crispy the skin it is.
Pineapple Tarts originally consist of a flat dough and pineapple toppings. Then someone came up with tube like shape with pineapples wrap in the middle.

This time I skip my "da bao" since I don't feel want to eat. My friend told me that LW is the famous pineapple tart but for me if want to compare the taste & popularity, LW win for popularity since they known as the biggest pineapple tart & get a Malaysian Book of Record 2004 for the huge pineapple tart. If want to compare the taste, LW lost.

P.S.: This is based on individual's taste and liking and if there's any other further questions about this restaurant or the food, feel free to drop a comment. Thanks!

EAT - Satay Celup Bukit Cina @ Malacca

When people ask me did Satay Celup nice meh? Honestly it's just a ordinary meat, seafood and vegetable that they stick it into bamboo stick and dip inside a hot boiled spicy peanut sauce.
Maybe because there's is unique and that's why a lot of people crazy about it.

Satay celup is a must eat food at Malacca? I don't think so. Satay celup is something like lok lok and steamboat with rich and spicy peanut sauce. Most of people know that Satay Celup only can get at Malacca but I saw some advertisement there have a Satay Celup @ Kajang. let me know if got ya ^^

The satay is assortment of raw and semi-cooked seafood like crabsticks, prawns, fishballs, meat and vegetables on skewers. And you need to dip (celup) satay into the boiling pot.

Actually we planing to try Capitol Satay Celup which is just located next two shop and at the same row with Satay Celup Bukit Cina. Since we don't think that we want to wait, we just try the new Restaurant Satay Celup Bukit Cina which is less people but still have a lot of people & we need to wait almost 30minute.

We queue like 30 minute++.

I want that camera!!! 5D Mark 11...

The asap is rokok la...kaka...

Can you see the crowd? Some people purposely sit & chat like nobody business XS

There's have a variety choices of the satay. They have seafood, vegetable, meat & also egg.
Each stick will cost you RM0.60 and some of the seafood like squid will cost you at RM0.80.

Satay celup (dip) is the steamboat or lok lok style which is you need to self-service to get your food from fridge and bring to your own table. Dip it into the sauce that boil in the middle of the table.

The sauce is just ordinary peanut sauce and it's a it a little bit spicy.
For those who hygiene concern...please aware...

WARNING!!!
I purposely wait at other side after we paid the bill to see how they clean the table & let others people sit on our place.
The waitress just simply clean the table use a cloth and pour a sauce into the tank (located at middle of table & use for dip the satay)
That's mean they never change the sauce...

Note: For those who want come to the have their satay celup, please come early ya ^^ to avoid you guys taste other people ehemmmm.... XDXDXD

Dip...Dip...Dip...Wee XDXDXD

Coconut @ RM4.00. Malaysia coconut. I still prefer Thailand coconut.

Fish ball, Taufu & Mushroom.

Squid & Prawn.

Char Koay.

Century Egg. No idea what it is. 1st time I had even though saw many times liao...
The taste just ordinary egg. Only the color scare me =.="

There's have sentence time where the waitress will come to each table for stir the sauce & add the sauce. Just in case the sauce less and a lot of lok lok drop inside the sauce.

Can you see my face & Steph face (blue color shirt)
I slurp coconut, she? confuse @@"

From Top Left... Me, MJ, Steph & Rehka.
From Bottom Left... Eiko, Christine, Kingston & Zoe.

Overall I will vote:
4/10 for the service. Damn slow!
3/10 for the food quality and quantity of the worst! I won't come again. Recycle sauce.
7/10 for the environment. Just ordinary Chinese food stall.

Location:
Restaurant Satay Celup Bukit Cina,
35, Lorong Bukit Cina,
75100 Melaka.
