Have you been to Pavilion or Times Square and you guys see the cute bear hold the ice cream? I believe that most of you heard about the Gelatomio right? Last few weeks, I went to Gelatomio food review at Pavilion. Throughout the food review session, we tried a total of 15 different flavors, and a variety of toppings. Noteworthy toppings include the fig jam and apple pie, specially imported from Italy.

Life not always sweet, so let me feed my reader with something sweet after so many emo post previously. There's no use if you the only one who think about it but another party not. So, let me forget the pass and move forward and hope all my day after this will be so sweet like this ice cream.

Like other good quality ice cream, Gelatomio concept is a cosy lounge where you can sit back, use the WiFi and enjoying your dessert. So, like other shopping mall, there also apply the same concept at Pavilion, KL. For those who do not know, the ingredient that use to make the ice cream are the top grade ingredients; only the best are chosen, and most of them are imported from Italy to preserve the authenticity of his gelato. So, that's show why the Gelatomio ice cream a little bit expensive.

Both logo also looks cute. On the bottle is the old logo and on the menu is the new logo. For me, the new one looks simple and the old logo looks cute.

Dr. Massimo Minecci started Gelatomio (aptly named My Gelato), from a humble 12 flavours shop to currently a gelati-empire boasting 60 flavours with outlets in Time Square, Subang Parade, Pavilion KL, Penang, Melaka and Johor.

He supplies approximately 70 major hotels and restaurants in KL which includes Shangri-La, Le Meridien, Pan Pacific, Prince Hotel, Hilton, G Hotel, chinoiz and espressamente.

You also can take away the Gelatomio if you feel want enjoy the sweet moment with your family where you can purchase it for the 1/2 liter at RM25.00 and for the 1 liter is RM45.00.

Unlike other outlet, The Gelatomio Pavilion KL added a new feature that other outlets do not have, The Cold Stone. How it's work? The "bowl" that use to put the ice cream is made from the white chocolate and dark chocolate. The picture on top left is where Dr. Massimo Minecci do the "bowl"

Apparently it's called ‘Gelatomio on the Rock’. You can choose your favourite flavours to be ‘fried’ together with your favourite toppings on the cold slab (picture top right).

The cold stone. It's that really cold? It's so cold until you can see a layer of thin ice on the surface.

Gelatomio on the Rock @ RM 19.80 (2 flavours of gelatomio)
(Macadamia & Double Choc)

The "bowl" is mad from the combination of white chocolate and dark chocolate. You can eat the "bowl" too. To order your Gelatomio on the Rock, you need to choose 2 flavour of gelatomio and you can have 2 toppings to be mixed with your gelatomio. If you wish to have it served to you on a chocolate bowl, add RM2.00. Additional toppings are RM1.00 each.

Gelatomio with Alcohol
(Orange Cointreau, Rum raisin & Rum Crunch)
Want try some alcohol ice cream? Rum in the house ^^

Dark Chocolate @ RM6.60 (regular)
Black Sesame (goma) @ RM6.60 (regular)
I'm not really fan of dark chocolate. There didn't put any milk on it but it's still creamy. The Black Sesame (goma) is one of the popular choice in Gelatomio but it's not for me. I tried one of black sesame ice cream at Jogoya and I kinda like it. Dr Massimo said he supplies 70% of the gelati in the Japanese eateries in Malaysia!

Fruity flavours
We had green apple and mango. I nevre had chance to try the original fruits ice cream and Gelatomio is my first try and it's awesome. To compare between Gelatomio ’s mango and green Apple, I still prefer mango since It's not too sour compare to the green apple.

I was been informed that all of Gelatomio Fruit Flavours is 93–97% FAT–FREE! For their Fruity range, it is only water, sucrose, fruits added (and of course whatever it is that is needed to make it set). No cream or milk.

Gelato platter @ RM16.00
(clockwise from top: Wild berry, White chocolate, Coffee & Calamansi)

It's called platter because it's serve on the plate. If you felt want try a lot flavour it's a great idea to try this one. For me the plate can prevent the ice cream from being mixed up once it melts. Since I like to enjoy every scoop that I had.

We had Coffee (rich aroma & taste of coffee), Berries (made from Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries & raspberries, & as expected was sweetish sour), white chocolate (smooth & not overly sweet), & Calamansi (sorbet-like & extremely refreshing) as our platter set.
