LIFE - Valentine Post "Dating Someone Of A Different Race"

0
I just realized that today is enough 1 week from a valentine day. Some people asking about my valentine post. It's not that I don't want to do, but I believe that it will become a emo post =.="

190920091969
Love is a wonderful thing. Especially if it's with the right person. I tried to have but it's failed. After almost a year I failed, I met another people. The same things happened again and because the same issue... Race!

chimpanzee
This feeling can never be rushed. Or even bought. Love is a feeling that happens naturally. The most important thing to remember is that love should and always be unconditionally. When it comes to dating, it is never an easy thing. Especially if it happens to be an interracial relationship.

Let me first say, for me that it doesn't matter what race your partner is. What really matters is what kind of person they are. All things aside, dating someone of another race is should be no different then dating someone of the same race. For me the best thing you can do is to get to know their culture. Show them that you care about every aspect of them. If you take the time to know your partner, the more you find the love that you have grow stronger. I know that not every relationship is perfect. Never has. Never will. But if you keep in mind why you love the person you are with, most things can be worked out. Now with someone of a different culture, things may take a little more effort. Hence why I said to take the time to get to know your partner. Not every culture will most likely see eye to eye.

monkey_valentinecolour
When dating someone of a different race, different culture or different faith, there are rational decisions that everyman and woman has to make. You can ask advice from others about what you should do, but ultimately if you are going to be with this person for the rest of your life, you should be the one to make the final decision on what is right for you as an individual, as a couple and as future parents, if you plan to have children.
Thanks Edmund & Seakin for always help me.

Dating someone from a different race, different culture, different ethnicity and different faith opens doors for interracial, intercultural and interfaith exploration and helps foster a meeting ground between people of different races, cultures, ethnic and faith backgrounds.

monkey_love
The most important thing is that you understand that dating is only an exploratory process; the person you ultimately choose to have a relationship with should be someone who you feel mentally, emotionally and sexually attracted to, have a lot in common including your vision for the future and can grow together with psychologically and spiritually in an adult-to-adult relationship.

coffee love
I happen to be in a relationship with a wonderful woman from a different race. She speaks fluent malay even though she is not malay. She help me a lot in my malay language. I trued to know all about her and I am doing all that I can to learn about her culture and way of life. I want to try to avoid fights were things are said out of anger. My advice would be for you to go take a walk. Once you said something hurtful, it can't be taken back. Think before you say.

I lazy to think about it anymore & let me move forward and I still have a lot of friend who support me. I hope can find a happiness around myself...
I tired to hopping, dreaming & thinking.

Adherence to certain religious practices will not necessarily create a loving and fulfilling relationship but without a spiritual connection it will be hard to sustain the relationship in the long term. If you decide individually or separately to practice a particular religion, make sure it's not a one-person decision but something you both have discussed exhaustively.

Can you see how big the restaurant? 2 floor wei! By the way, this is not my 1st time came here but this is my 1st post in my blog =.="

We reach there for our dinner which is can consider as late dinner and it's really-really late dinner but there's still have a lot of people. Around 10pm++

Normally I will go to the 2nd floor because you can see the nice scenery from there + night view of Kajang town and there’s an air conditioned section. Unfortunately on that day, they close the 2nd floor. The restaurant is really huge and clean!

IMG_6995
Not like other satay, Sate Kajang Hj. Samuri have a bigger portion and you don't worry about all the pesky fats and chewy bits because they remove it to make sure it's easier for people to eat. They still use a pandan leave to put the oil on the satay which is to maintain the smell and taste of the satay + traditional methods.

IMG_7015
1: Chicken Satay RM0.60 per stick.
2: Rabbit Satay RM2.00 per stick.
3: Deer Satay RM1.80 per stick.
4: Beef Satay RM0.60 per stick.
5: Fish Satay RM0.60 per stick.

IMG_6989
Normally I won't eat peanut sauce but I won't miss the Hj. Samuri Peanut sauce. It's a little bit sweet and rich with peanut that blend well. They separate the chili paste and peanut sauce. The spiciness of the peanut sauce can be adjusted according to one’s taste.

IMG_6990
Mix the peanut sauce with chili ^^
Since I damn hungry, I ordered 2 portion of the Nasi Impit (Compressed Rice Cubs in English) that goes so well with the sauce. Nasi Impit and the cucumbers as side dishes is must have to!

IMG_6986
Orange Juice & Watermelon Juice @ RM2.20

IMG_7013
It's really a lot... Believe it or not? haha

Little Monkey = 25 Stick of Satay!
Chris = 30 Stick of Satay!
Edmund = 40 Stick of Satay!

Top: Little Monkey
Bottom: Chris & Edmund

Overall I will vote:
8/10 for the service. Efficient & you need to queueand order. Your meal will deliver in less than 20minute even though it's damn busy!
8/10 for the food quality and quantity of the food excellent. It is delicious, tender and tasty with their secret marinate ingredients. The combination was perfect since the peanut sauce not so spicy.
7/10 for the environment. huge restaurant and clean but difficult to get place.

Please give me the spirit!

IMG_4284
Whenever you look into lake, there's always have a reflection. If you still stood there, the reflection will keep remaining there. So, this the time where you should change. If you know the same situation have a high possibilities to give you the same problem, why should you look for it?

IMG_4271
There's always have a way and light to show you the correct way. You the only one who should choose the right path. I tried my best and I thought I never failed to make a decision but I wrong and careless...

EAT - Restoran Nyonya @ SS2

4
IMG_6852-vert
When talk about Nyonya food it's remind me to someone. Who said I don't like Nyonya food? Prove me wrong! Nyonya cuisine is in my 3rd list of food hunting after Japan and Western Cuisine! SS2 is another place that I like to go for the food hunting around PJ other than Damansara Uptown. Why not? it's only 10 minute drive from my house. If I recall back, this is the 1st Nyonya Restaurant that I went around PJ.

I was been informed that Nyonya Restaurant has been renovated in August 2007. The restaurant full air-conditioning and it's make the customer feel a comfortable dining experience. They claim that they was serve a Nyonya cuisine since 1974 and of course as one of the oldest Nyonya restaurants in the Klang Valley.

IMG_6782
The menu.
Looking for the Chicken Pongteh but on that day not available WTF!

IMG_6822
Honey Chicken @ RM14.00
The meat tender and the chicken not too sweet. Quite nice but the portion too small and expensive. The chicken marinated well with honey. Can see from the picture where it's a little bit dark which is I believe that's too much honey and they fry it too long. The real honey chicken should be golden brown.

I ordered their set lunch which is came together with (choices of curry chicken / rendang beef, spicy squid, acar, soup and dessert)
It's only cost me at RM12.90.

IMG_6817
IMG_6818
Rendang Beef
Actually I choose curry chicken but it's came out rendang beef. WTF!
Both also I cant eat but at least chicken better than beef =.="
The rendang a little bit spicy and oily! Do not get cheated by the appearance! The meat just little and the rest is rendang sauce.

IMG_6813
IMG_6816
Spicy Squid
Another spicy and oily dish. For me the squid was ok ok only. It's a little bit like rubber and came in small cut but of course mix well with the "sambal".

IMG_6819
IMG_6820
Acar
I love it. The acar. It's a little bit sweet and it's really nice to eat it with a bowl of rice.
Not much to talk about it. Still like the my grandma homemade acar.
My grandma normally make acar from different vegetables such as carrots, cucumber, yardlong beans and cabbage and mix with the vinegar and add a little bit dried chillies.

IMG_6821
Soup
This is not soup! It's chicken broth!

IMG_6836
IMG_6838
Cendol @ RM3.30
It's looks simple but tasty! I love Nyonya cendol if want to compare with mamak cendol. I still remember my last cendol that I had is during my trip to Malacca last 2month!

Like other cendol stall, this restaurant serve the shaved ice with palm sugar, cooked red beans and top it with coconut milk. The green cendol is made from pandan leaves. This green cendol all short-short one XD

IMG_6839
IMG_6842
Sago Gula Melaka @ RM3.30
Since I choose a set lunch, this dessert came together with the main course, The sago gula Melaka taste not failed but the sago itself failed. From the picture you can see by yourself that it's firm. So, when you had your sago, you need to bite it. I think it's just came out from fridge. From what I know the sago texture should be silky and "tender".

IMG_6809
Our drinks
Fresh Lime @ Rm3.00, Orange Juice @ RM3.50 & Jasmine Tea @ RM1.20.

Overall I will vote:
6/10 for the service. Friendly but I order Chicken and they gave me beef. I cant eat beef. At night all my body itchy!
7/10 for the food quality and quantity of the food. One of the Nyonya restaurant that I went that serve decent Nyonya food that simple but nice.
8/10 for the environment. Cosy interior and comfortable.
